In this video, auto mechanic Mike Green will show you how to remove a door panel on a Pontiac Grand Prix.

There 4 steps to remove a door panel:
1. Remove handles, window cranks and/or trim plates.
2. Find and remove anchor screws near door pull.
3. Locate and detach clips or pins using a special clip tool or putty knife. Take care not to break clips or door panel.
4. Disconnect all harnesses.

Door panel removal may be required when:
1. Replacing door panel.
2. Replacing exterior mirror.
3. Replacing window regulator.
4. Replacing window weatherstrip.
5. Replacing exterior door handle.
6. Replacing interior door handle.
7. Replacing door.

Tools needed for removing a door panel:
Plain screw driver.
Torx dirver or phillips screw driver depending on vehicle.
Door panel clip tool or household putty knife.
